Creative Director

The Creative Director (CD) is responsible for leading the creative team in setting the creative vision of client projects and ensuring brand consistency for all creative initiatives. This is an opportunity to influence strategic client initiatives and help shape projects from concepting through implementation. The CD will work closely with Discipline Leads and other key stakeholders to identify and champion appropriate deliverables and work standards that assure the best possible outcome for every client.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the creative process from concept to production
  • Generate innovative ideas and high concept development for client projects – when given a creative brief or request, be able to clarify the request, generate ideas, sketch solutions, and develop a strong visual story
  • Support design work using all available insights including customer feedback, quantitative data and usability findings
  • Estimate and plan the creative portion for projects – given a client request, be able to formulate a set of activities by discipline with estimated hours
  • Lead and/or assist in developing client pitch strategies and presentations
  • Create copy and art harmony, working with copywriters and designers to produce compelling experiences
  • Collaborate with designers, ux research and designers, developers, project managers, strategy team, to ensure pixel perfect implementation, and client satisfaction
  • Assist team with creative problem solving, internal and external communication, and presentation skills
  • Be hands-on; contributing world-class visual design alongside creative team members
  • Ensure quality of work and on time delivery for all creative deliverables
  • Remain current on emerging design and technology trends in the industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field from an accredited college or university, Graphic Design Certificate, a plus
  • In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 - meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa


  • Customarily has at least 10 years of Graphic Design experience with 5 or more years in a creative leadership capacity within a digital marketing agency or corporate production studio environment
  • Experience designing interactive experiences across a variety of media preferred
  • Digital, interactive and/or customer experience agency/consultancy experience a plus
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery a plus

  • Ability to facilitate client meetings and lead presentations
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills; able to inspire teamwork and collaboration
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch (other professional graphics production software a plus)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple requests and responsibilities
