    Responsibilities

    A Day in the Life

    The Database Administrator II is an escalation point and proactive contributor for Synoptek clients.  They are responsible for deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and continuously improving databases and their related infrastructure.  Every Engineer is measured on completed tickets, resolution met, CSAT (customer satisfaction), and ticket utilization set forth by their direct manager.  Flexibility in scheduling may be required in order to meet customer requirements.

    Qualifications

    The Basics

    • Total Years of Technical Experience: 5+
    • Position Specific Experience: 2+
    • Mentorship/Leads by Example Experience: 4+
    • Project/ Client Engagement/ Customer Facing Experience: 4+

     

    Technical Aptitude

    • Intermediate knowledge of SQL Server 
    • Proficient in Database administration, security, management and backups.
    • Exceptional communication and thorough documentation skills required. 
    • Use organizational, detail-oriented personality, and ethical behavior to interact daily with client services team.
    • Exceptional problem solving skills
    • Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution
    • Create, run, and troubleshoot database scripts
    • Recognize and automate repeatable processes
    • SSRS, SSIS, PowerShell, Tomcat, MySQL, and Oracle experience a plus
