    A Day in the Life

    As the Manager of Service Enablement, you will be responsible for the evaluation, design, architecture, planning, development, implementation , optimization, maintenance, management and upgrades of the internal tools and systems integrations in use by Synoptek.  You and your team of System Integration Engineers will consistently be working with developing new tools, integrating existing tools, implementing feature requests and remediating issues with the tools & systems.  You and your team are responsible for the standards, policies, security, reliability, growth, performance, productivity & documentation of said systems and tools


    While leading a geographically dispersed team of Engineers, you will also be responsible for high employee engagement & performance.  This role requires leadership, management, mentorship as well as hands-on reqponsibilities

    You will be required to work in one of the Synoptek US main offices.


    The Basics

    • Total Years of Technical Experience: 12+
    • Position Specific Experience: 5+
    • Mentorship/Leads by Example Experience: 4+
    • Project/ Client Engagement/ Customer Facing Experience: 6+


    Technical Aptitude

    • Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, C#, JavaScript, PERL, PHP & SQL)
    • Advanced understanding of standard monitoring protocols (WMI, SNMP, Preform, Netflow)
    • Subject matter expert on multiple Toolsets managed by the Service Enablement team, including management of entire product lifecycle
    • Solid understanding of managed services & multi-tenant support environments
    • Hands on experience with how application data flows over the network (firm foundation of OSI model)
    • Proven ability to support Active Directory, general server operating systems at a high level including Linux / Unix system knowledge
    • Hands-on virtualization experience using VMware and/or Hyper-V
    • Proven ability to isolate and diagnose problems with common Internet technologies: DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, SSL
    • Strong Experience working with cloud-based services or applications
    • Experience managing projects within time, quality and budget parameters.
    • Strong Experience working with vendors in a support role
