    A Day in the Life 

    The HR Business Partner will provide comprehensive HR support and guidance with a focus on Canadian best practices for our largest North American facility in Saint John, New Brunswick while partnering with the HR team as a whole to support special projects and tasks as required.  Our HR team is focused on streamlining business processes and administrative functions so that we can focus on our most important business assets: Our People!  The HRBP will support a number of HR areas including employee onboarding and offboarding for all Canadian employees, HR data administration and reporting, recruiting and talent acquisition support, employee communications, compensation analysis, employee relations & mediation, performance management and anything else our amazing HR team chooses to take on.

    Techie Aptitude

    Technical Knowledge

    • Accountable for measuring and impacting employee engagement.
    • Partners with leadership, providing HR guidance when appropriate. 
    • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies around turnover, retention, diversity & inclusion. 
    • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. 
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. 
    • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). 
    • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. 
    • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. 
    • Partners with management to identify training needs and individual coaching needs. 
    • Act as first point of contact for HR related inquiries and escalate as needed.
    • Delvers new employee on-boarding and orientation process within designated area.
    • Assitss with benefits administration during the year and significantly assists during the annual renewal process
    • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.  Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
    • Partners with payroll as needed.
    • Preparation of business analytics.  
    • Willing to travel as needed (estimated 10% travel a few times a year to other office locations within North America - Irvine, Rochester and Denver for example)
