This role works to deliver our services with finesse and confidence. This is a fairly demanding but highly rewarding role focused on directing client engagements for our clients in the areas we serve.

    The Synoptek Business Consultant will focus on directing client engagements to develop and implement systems, applications, and services.  It will coordinate with clients to establish requirements, define project scope, and communicate status, issues, features and release plans.  This candidate will coordinate all stages of project planning, implementation, and deployment.  You will provide critical guidance and recommendations of network infrastructure, software design, etc.

    We are seeking someone who is insightful, results-driven, is a technology leader and can drive processes for managed services clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Mad skills at consulting with customers to articulate the needs of the business, developing strategic road-maps to achieve increased quality and productivity while delivering the appropriate support and solutions to all operating units

    Qualifications

    • Experience in Managed Services or IT Project Management
    • Experience in project implementations including Service Management ITIL based process transformations and custom IT application projects utilizing SDLC methodologies
    • Practiced in strategic planning and implementation of organizational change to meet business needs including vendor based staffing strategies with both onshore and offshore partners
    • Capable of defining, developing and implementing new policies and procedures to achieve greater control of key operational processes
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
    • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
    • Minimum of 7 years professional technology experience in a consulting, business dev, sales engineering or other capacity
    • Self-motivated and detail oriented creative thinker, willing to drive cultural shifts to ensure technology is focused on the customer and delivering a high quality service and product
    • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred in Computer Science or Business/equivalent combination of education and experience okay
    • Someone passionate about people, technology, business and providing solutions to bring all three together compatibly 

     

    Must be able to meet the below physical requirements:

     

    • Ability ascend/descend a latter in order to service company and client edutainment out of arms reach.   
    • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl to maintain computers at company or client sites, including under the desks and server closets (data centers).
    • Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
