The Lead Generation Specialist will be responsible for executing follow-up on marketing campaigns, preform prospect calling, build prospect lists, launch e-mail marketing campaigns, create dire mail campaigns, and other initiatives to achieve measurable results and lead generation in support of the Direct Sales Team.


This position will work with the internal Marketing Team and the Direct Sales Team to execute campaigns to meet the needs of the business in the form of new appointments and leads back to Direct Sales. You will have the first point of contact for many prospects and will have the responsibility of maintaining Synoptek’s highest level of standards. The Lead Generation Specialist will focus on qualifying and generating new sales opportunities to support Synoptek’s Business Development Managers. The career path and opportunity for the Lead Generation Specialist Role is to promote into the mainstream sales organization as a Business Development Manager responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle. 


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary resource for the researching and prospecting of qualified new business leads via web, cold calling, emails, strategic alliances and referrals
  • Work directly with Sr. Marketing Manager to develop, implement and maintain comprehensive lead and appointment generation strategies to generate quality sales leads
  • Attend and promote Synoptek events, seminars, and tradeshows
  • Understand the business needs of prospective clients
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence and market conditions relative to specific service offerings
  • Daily outbound calls for targeted marketing campaigns
  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding qualified lead objectives and quotas while being able to build a pipeline of business
  • Strong writing skills for email follow-up and communications with C-levels, VPs, and Directors



  • Confident and professional phone manner while exhibiting a positive attitude with prospects (not afraid to cold call)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal, written and active listening)
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, social media, and marketing automation tools
  • An engaging demeanor with abilities to read and shift communication styles to the audience at hand
  • A dynamic “hunter” personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Work experience in marketing, inside sales, or business development (technology B2B preferred)
  • Ability to work in office during business hours Monday – Friday: 9am - 5pm PST
  • Ability to do some travel
